What do you look for in a fabric collection? Is it the color, theme, style of prints, all over prints or minimalistic designs? With every new fabric collection from AGF we take all of this into consideration. Each of our designers have such unique and different approaches to fabric creation which is why we can offer the sewing community an array of fabric collections that can cater to every quilter and sewist’s heart. My favorite part about creating and sewing is choosing the fabrics and often times the fabrics end up choosing me, taking me on an adventure without me even needing to leave my apartment! As beautiful as these prints are all on their own I feel like this collection is a quilters dream. “Endless Journey” free quilt pattern radiates the heart of what the Starling collection is all about! The colors electrify off each other and create the best type of quilting magic! This 90 ½ x 90 ½” quilt will be the best addition to any space in your house. With a quilt this lovely I you will want to display it on the wall like wallpaper or a giant piece of art.
There are so many great prints in the Starling collection but I want to make sure to put a spotlight on ones that stood out to me while I was sewing with this collection!
“Moonlit Forest Dusk” showcases a twilight sky and crescent moons with majestic birds, rabbits, and nature elements that come to life. A great all over print to use in apparel, home decor and even fussy cut projects.
“Linear Radiance” linen blend is made up of 55 % linen and 45 % cotton, giving it the most dreamiest weight and softness to use for clothes, bags, and home decor! Playful colorful stripe design will add the right amount of color fun to any project!
“Blackbird Aviary” flannel has the sweetest blackbirds perched on floral branches. The large pinks and orange blooms pop from the light teal background. AGF’s soft lightweight flannel fabrics are ideal for bedding, home decor, robes and pjs.
“Starlit Bound” 2.5 binding is by far my favorite binding fabric yet! Choose from a rainbow stripe design, birds in flight, and a multi color diamond design.
AGF 2.5 Edition can be used for so much more than just binding! I made a Traveling Sewing Kit and used it in my patchwork, ties and binding. My second favorite way to use AGF 2.5 besides binding is for embellishments in small projects, like pillow, zipper pouches, even in apparel.
